#46 Learn to snowboard

I love living near the mountains, seeing those snowy peaks in the morning makes me smile every single day. I fI never fully took advantage of living here though. Hence, snowboarding got added to the list. Kerry was planning to teach me and got me a pass for Mt Seymour for my birthday last year. We didn't get to use it due to the lack of snow. So what better way to start 2016 than with my first ever snowboarding lesson? Up the mountain I drove, early morning of January 1st. Down the slope I went, and on my bum, more than once. When I meant to go left, my board went right. When I meant to get up, I toppled over. But it was one of the best New Year's days ever.

And from there on it just continued. I went one day by myself, on my birthday. Spent the entire day on the bunny hill. Really, I just didn't know any other runs to go to. I went down that bunny hill 32 times, celebrating my 32nd birthday. Again, I realized, snowboarding is what I need. It makes me happy, it gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling I felt when I was with Kerry. So I kept going. Took a second lesson. Finally discovered the actual runs on Mt Seymour. I ended up going four times more after this. Pushing myself, trying to make faster turns, shorter turns, steeper slopes... I still fell. A lot! But I still loved it. So much! Either way, wish #46 completed. Officially one of my favorites!
